The “Msichana Harambee”
Sanitary hygiene Campaign Scheme,
Making sure that Periods do not get in the way of girls right to education.
In every country, including Tanzania, education is the key to a brighter future.
But for many adolescent school girls, menstruation becomes a barrier to their right to learn. At the African Sustainable Development Goals Foundation, we’re changing this narrative.

Imagine a girl missing school 5 to 6 days every month because she lacks access to sanitary pads.
This means missing out on vital learning opportunities and falling behind in her studies. It’s a cycle of inequality we’re determined to break.

We have a Campaign, we call it The “Msichana Harambee” with the aim to provide sanitary pads to school girls
Our campaign provides more than just sanitary pads.
It offers girls the chance to stay in school, to learn, and to dream of a better future. Through education on puberty, hygiene, and menstruation, we empower girls to manage their periods with confidence and dignity.

Our mission goes beyond the classroom. We reach the society
We’re challenging the myths and taboos surrounding menstruation, creating a culture of understanding and support within communities.

Together, we’re authoring a new narrative for education in Tanzania.
With your support, we can ensure that no girl is left behind due to her period. Join us as we journey toward a future where education is accessible to all.
